IBM FILE MANAGER for OS/390 now supports IAM files

IBM has issued a PTF, UQ58594, that will enable IBM File Manager to support IAM files. Please contact IBM for information on receiving this support.

IAM V7.0 dropped support of several IAM Override keywords. These keywords include the following: INFO=, INDEXCOMPRESS=,LIMITKEYS=, and MINCOMPRESS. Jobs that define or load IAM files with any of the above overrides will now fail. These jobs will also fail if a misspelled keyword is encountered, or some other type of syntax error. On file define, they will fail with a message IAMW57 COMP=0136 CODE=0006, and an IDC30009I with same return code and reason code. File loads will fail with an IAMW20 message. To avoid these errors, users can apply PTF C-70.0701. This PTF is available on Innovation's FTP site.
